ASSISTANT STATE DIRECTOR

Maddie Lorenzen- Maddie started the Iowa Miss Amazing Pageant with Kayleigh Begley in 2013 and served as the State Director from its beginnings in 2013 until 2017. Maddie is currently pursuing a masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Maddie hopes to one-day have a career working with a variety of individuals from all different walks of life. Growing up, Maddie has always had a passion for working with individuals with disabilities. Her oldest brother, Jordan, was born with an intellectual disability. The impact he has had on her life has allowed Maddie to appreciate all individuals and their abilities as well as strive to help others do the same. Her family has been involved with the Miss Amazing Organization since 2010, and her older sister was the former Missouri Director. Her brother, sister, and the participants of Miss Amazing paved the way for her when she became the Iowa State Director. She feels that everyone deserves the chance to feel confident, beautiful, and AMAZING!
